Background
INCTR is dedicated to helping build capacity for cancer and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) for prevention, treatment, palliative care, and research. It also wants to improve access to needed care in order to lessen the suffering and limit the number of lives lost from cancer and other NCDs in developing countries.
Through its programs, INCTR assists developing countries to promote research and collaboration; provide education and training that will lead to an increased understanding of the causes of and predisposition to regionally important cancers in these countries; and increase the survival rates and quality of life of all patients with cancer and other NCDs.
INCTR’s headquarters are located in Brussels, Belgium, with branches in Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Nepal, and the USA, and offices in Cameroon, India, Tanzania, and the UK.
INCTR has staff, consultants, and volunteers dedicated to the accomplishment of its goals. The INCTR Advisory Board comprises of distinguished medical professionals, thought leaders, and industry heads from all over the world who play an active role in many aspects of INCTR’s work.
